The 2026 mid-term general election is upon us! We have a lot of work to do between now and election day on Tuesday, November 3! Please reach out to us at wpadmin@socogreen.org if you can help! Read on to learn the priorities of the Green Party of Sonoma County (GPSC).

The GPSC is proud to continue supporting the following Sonoma County candidates we endorsed, and who prevailed in the June 2 Primary Election:
- Joanna Paun for Sonoma County Supervisor District 2
- Melanie Bagby for Sonoma County Supervisor District 4
- Jackie Elward for California State Assembly District 12
In addition, for the General Election the GPSC has endorsed:
- Mathew López, a Green running for Healdsburg City Council, District 2
- James Woodruff, a no-party-preference candidate running for Sebastopol City Council
- Melanie Jones-Carter, running for Santa Rosa City Council, District 4
- Eric Vasquez, running for Petaluma City Council, District 3
Regarding Statewide Ballot Initiatives, GPSC has made two early endorsements
- Yes on Prop 40, the temporary tax on billionaires
- No on Prop 45, The erosion of California’s environmental quality protections
- Position statements on other ballot initiatives coming soon from GPCA. See GPCA website.
GPCA also lists other endorsed Greens running elsewhere in California. Of note there are two Greens who prevailed in their campaigns for state Assembly:
- Victor Hernandez, Assembly District (AD) 59 (Orange County)
- Mark Rendon, AD 14 (East Bay)
Governor. In the primary election, the Green Party of California (GPCA) endorsed Butch Ware for Governor. In the general election, the GPCA has not made an endorsement and the GPSC has made no endorsement.
