June 2, 2026 Primary Election!

Sonoma County Elections

The Green Party of Sonoma County (GPSC) has made the following endorsements for the June 2, 2026 Primary Election::

  • GPSC endorses Jackie Elward for California State Assembly, 12th District

GPSC has not yet taken a formal position on County Measure B, the only countywide measure on the Ballot. It asks for the quarter-cent sales tax that was established in 2008 to finance the SMART Train system, and that will expire in 2030, to be extended to the year 2060. Join us to help make a decision!

Statewide Elections

The Green Party of California and the Peace and Freedom Party are together supporting a Left Unity Slate of candidates for statewide offices. Here are the seven Left Unity Slate candidates for the California primary elections on Tuesday June 2nd, 2026:
Alice Stek for Lieutenant Governor
“California for the people, not the billionaires. ”

Gary Blenner for Secretary of State
“To expand democracy and fight for electoral reform.”
(Green Party)
Meghann Adams for State Controller
“California for the people not the billionaires! “(Peace and Freedom Party)
Glenn Turner for State Treasurer
“Divest from Israel, weapons and fossil fuels.”(Green Party)
Marjorie Mikels for Attorney General
“Justice for ALL gives rise to hope.”(Green Party)
Eduardo ‘Lalo’ Vargas for Insurance Commissioner
“The department of insurance needs working people at its helm.”(Peace and Freedom Party)
Frank Lara for Superintendent of Public Instruction
“A superintendent our schools deserve!”(Peace and Freedom Party)

Gubernatorial candidates are not part of the Left Unity Slate, but both Parties endorse the entire Left Unity Slate for the other statewide offices. The Green Party of California endorsed Butch Ware for Governor.
