The 2026 mid-term general election is upon us! We have a lot of work to do between now and election day on Tuesday, November 3! Please reach out to us at wpadmin@socogreen.org if you can help! Read on to learn the priorities of the Green Party of Sonoma County (GPSC).
Note: If you have any questions about Sonoma County’s administration of the election, visit the website of the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters for polling locations and other general information.
The GPSC is proud to continue supporting the following Sonoma County candidates we endorsed, and who prevailed in the June 2 Primary Election:
- Joanna Paun for Sonoma County Supervisor District 2
- Melanie Bagby for Sonoma County Supervisor District 4
- Jackie Elward for California State Assembly District 12
For statewide offices, the Green Party of California (GPCA) and the Peace and Freedom Party supported a Left Unity Slate. Unfortunately, none of them prevailed in their campaigns. However, there are two Greens who prevailed in their campaigns for state Assembly:
Victor Hernandez, Assembly District (AD) 59 (Orange County)
and…
Mark Rendon, AD 14 (East Bay)
And of course, as noted above, we have Jackie Elward for California State Assembly District 12 to support right here in Sonoma County!
In other Sonoma County local races, the GPSC has endorsed:
Mathew López, a Green running for Healdsburg City Council, District 2
and…
James Woodruff, a no-party-preference candidate running for Sebastopol City Council
Governor. In the primary election, the Green Party of California (GPCA) endorsed Butch Ware for Governor. In the general election, the GPCA has not made an endorsement and the GPSC has made no endorsement.
